Have you ever been to The Fish and Chippery by The Atlantic? If you are a fan of super fresh seafood then this place is for you. With some of the tastiest seafood going around, it is a must for food lovers.
After an extremely busy weekend, Andrea and I were psyched to have a tasty & relaxing meal, so we hit up The Fish and Chippery. With a menu so broad and delicious, we needed some help from the lovely staff to decide.
After much discussion we decided to start with the salt and pepper squid and the soft shell crab. Which were both were delectable. I love squid and this squid satisfied my infatuation. It was cooked perfectly and the batter was so light and seasoned with precision, served with a delectable garlic aioli. The soft shell crab had a beautiful batter, served with jalapeno ponzu which tasted amazing.
Our next two dishes were the Soft Prawn Taco with prawn cutlets, salad of grilled corn, carrot, cucumber, iceberg lettuce, avocado sauce and lime dressing. The taco was so refreshing and yum, I would definitely go back and have it again. Miso Marinade Rockling Fillet Bun with asian slaw, miso yuzu dressing, between a squid ink brioche bun. The fish was cooked to perfection and all of the condiments worked together well.
Lastly of course we couldn’t pass up having the traditional fish and chips. We had barramundi in a combo with chips. The chips were super tasty and just like everything else we had eaten, the fish was cooked great and the batter light and fresh. The only thing anywhere near as fresh as the seafood we ate, were the welcoming staff and old mate Andy Hobbs.
All in all I highly recommend for anyone to go to hit up the Fish and Chippery because everything is delicious and the staff are great. If you haven’t been yet, you definitely should because all the food tastes amazing and is as fresh as you will get.
